Our Impact

The Beyond Sleep Training Project has been described as a phenomenon.

Not even 3 years old and already boasts more than 80,000 members all grown organically through word-of-mouth.

Our mission is simple: to support families through sleep challenges without sleep training.

This is a snapshot of the group in numbers just for November 2019 and these figures are following an ever-growing trend, month by month.

These numbers show us two things:

  1. The huge need for the support provided by this space that cannot be found easily anywhere else.

  2. The huge challenge in maintaining the level of support and service delivery while growing at an unprecedented rate.

Little Sparklers Priority Project: Training and support for our volunteers

Our volunteer team has had to grow rapidly and with no formalised, accredited training and no person responsible for the coordination of a team that now spans 5 continents, our people are rapidly burning out.

The group itself is in fabulous shape and this can mask the sheer enormity of the behind-the-scenes and people seem genuinely surprised that in order to maintain this space, we need to now spend money on the development of ongoing training and support for our volunteers.

These 3 quotes highlight some of the issues our volunteers face:

And this would only be the start, we will be striving to provide accredited peer support training not only to our online volunteers but also to those in communities, bringing the support right to people’s homes and lives, enlivening communities and building their capacity to nurture their families.

Little Sparklers Priority Project: Build a dynamic and accessible website

In order for us to be able to deliver training and support, we will need a powerful website that will also function as an information hub and resource for a range of audiences charged with the valuable task of growing healthy families.

We will have portals for expecting parents, families with young babies and children, partners and supporters, professionals, communities, early childhood educators and students.

All with evidence-based information and resources to change the way people experience this time.

Some examples of the printable resources we aim to produce are these brochures we hope to see in every Doctor’s Office, Child Health service, Maternity wing, Baby expos around the world.

Access to quality information, support and practical advice has been proven to change the trajectory of many people’s lives.

Little Sparklers is building off a large, established base.

We know the huge value and impact The Beyond Sleep Training Project is having every day.

With our skilful and dedicated Board of Directors, Little Sparklers is ready to bring about large-scale change to way families are supported and now we need your help.
